The Unipower GT Owners Club & Register was started back in 1972 by myself, Gerry Hulford, after I bought the first of my five cars over the coming years. It was however back then, referred to as a Club, but just as now without any membership fees, ownership of a Unipower GT being all that is required. In those early days, with production of the cars having only ceased a little over two years previously in 1969, there were quite a number of cars in the South of England and it was these owners, who met up once a month at the Royal Oak pub on the green in Brockham, Surrey, that formed the embryo Owners Club. Typically, there would be around six cars that would come along to spend the afternoon to chat about their cars and exploits, some coming from afar afield as South Wales.
